It began with a dream.
Professor Larisa Shavinina had long dreamed of organizing a nationwide conference to celebrate innovation in Canada and to analyze its current state.
After delivering a speech on How to Develop Innovators, which she was invited to give at the US National Science Board, that, in turn, reported to Congress and President Obama, Professor Shavinina concluded that the time was right in 2017 to organize the first conference on innovation through the Université du Québec en Outaouais.
These conferences are indispensable to Canada. They are a unique and innovative undertaking that contribute to fostering innovation. They enhance economic growth and productivity by increasing employment and prosperity for all.
